A first time experience of BioRePeel

Lauren from our Marketing department recently undertook a course of BioRePeel in the hopes of improving her skin texture, see what she thought below!
Around April 2022, I started on my very first course of BioRePeel. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little bit nervous, as I have witnessed a few traditional skin peels gone wrong in the past. Seeing the results of a BioRePeel treatment, I felt comfortable with my decision to give it a go.
I would typically be somewhere between a Type 1 & Type 2 on the Fitzpatrick skin scale, with pale and semi – sensitive skin. I had some redness and scarring on my cheeks from a previous bad sunburn, and although I have been lucky to never experience acne, I was starting to find severe dryness and more hormonal breakouts occurring in adulthood. After trying countless over-the-counter products and various foundations, I decided it was time to deal with the actual texture of my skin and give my skin a reset.
The main skincare concerns I hoped to address:
- Extreme dryness especially around nose and cheeks
- Some discolouration / uneven skin tone
- Redness and scarring on cheeks

Treatment Preparation:
After an efficient skincare consultation, I was advised that I would be best to start with four treatments over a course of 4-6 weeks (7 – 10 days advised between sessions). I was immediately put at ease after being shown each aspect of the treatment and gaining a better understanding of what to expect. BioRePeel is not like traditional peels and does not cause your entire face to peel like chemical peels, so you can go about your daily routine as normal.
The treatment:
The treatment itself takes a maximum of 15 minutes from start to finish and is a very relaxing experience. The process started with my skin being cleansed, the BioRePeel solution was then applied across my face and massaged in until tacky (some practitioners prefer to apply using a needle or syringe, this allows a more even application across the skin, the syringe is not injected). Once I had a green hue, the solution was then left to work for a maximum of five minutes. For my first treatment we decided to leave it on for three minutes to see how my skin reacted, which thankfully it was fine, so for the remaining three sessions we went for the full five minutes. The solution was then gently cleansed off and followed up with some BioReLift and BioReHydra to plump up and moisturise my skin. These products left my skin feeling so fresh, lifted and glowy.

The whole process was so quick, clean and relaxing, making BioRePeel the sort of skin treatment you could squeeze in over your lunch break.
Results:
Did it work? – Yes. I had a total of 4 treatments leaving an average of 8 days in between each. I experienced a few patches of peeling, particularly around my nose and forehead which is normal. I would compare the type of peeling to a very mild sunburn, easily solved with a quality moisturiser – not the full face peeling you might think about when you hear ‘Skin Peel’. The most peeling occurred for me for the first few days after treatment two and three, which makes sense as this is when your skin is starting to shed and renew.
Overall, I have noticed a complete change in my skin texture, feeling smoother, softer and much more even. Some persistent blackheads around my chin and nose have disappeared and some skin imperfections around my nose had entirely vanished by around treatment three. You are advised to avoid fake tan and makeup for around 48 hours post treatment, but I made the commitment to avoid anything except moisturiser and SPF as much as possible during the entire treatment period to give the treatment the best chance to work, which I definitely think helped the process.
Overall, I feel like the redness, dryness and general imperfections have improved massively and I feel like my general complexion is much more hydrated and my skin is glowing.
Things to consider:
There were a few products that really helped my skin throughout the process, and I would highly recommend if you decide to undertake a BioRePeel treatment.
First: A good hydration product like BioReHydra
Designed to complement the BioRePeel solution, BioReHydra moisturises without feeling oily and soaks into the skin really quickly. This product worked really well when used for the first few days after each treatment.
Second: An intensive serum
I would recommend investing in a good quality serum or moisturiser like IS Clinical’s Hydracool Serum. I used this at least once a day throughout my treatments and fell in love with it. This is not a typical serum or moisturiser as it dries into the skin almost instantly and can be used entirely on it’s own. This was a miracle worker for any peeling or particularly dry spots post treatment with over 25% hyaluronic acid and the effects of this serum complimented the goals of the BioRePeel treatments perfectly, highly recommend.
Finally: UVA/B Protection
When getting any peeling treatment, it is so important to use a good quality SPF to protect your new and healing skin. Your skin is even more sensitive to UVA/B rays post treatment. Please make sure to apply your SPF everyday to avoid ruining the benefits of the peel. It is important to use an oil free SPF or at least one designed for your face, such as the HelioCare Gel SPF 50 which is perfect to moisturise and protect your skin without clogging those fresh pores.
Would I recommend BioRePeel?
Absolutely. I was honestly really impressed with the results I had after just four treatments, which in reality took under 20 minutes total! Unlike other traditional peels you can do a course of BioRePeel treatments every few months, as it is much less damaging and aggressive, so I don’t think this will be my last.
Not only do I think the redness and imperfections have faded dramatically, but I generally just feel more comfortable and confident with no make up on and have had so many comments on how fresh my skin looks. I should also mention that on the rare occasion when I now wear skin or base make up, it applies so smoothly with or without primer as my actual skin texture has dramatically improved.
To conclude, BioRePeel is the perfect low maintenance treatment for those who want to brighten their complexion, reduce fine lines and fix discolouration. The whole process is completely painless and takes less time than making a cup of tea, a win-win.
